Among them, the national eighth five-year scientific and technological research project "Automotive cylinder block and cylinder liner laser surface strengthening technology and equipment" won the first prize of scientific and technological progress in Hubei Province. The laser welding project won the second prize for scientific and technological progress in Hubei Province.

The main research area is new laser processing technology and process mechanism. He has undertaken more than 30 national, provincial and ministerial projects and horizontal projects.
